EDITORIAL APPROACH

Clear about what we know—and what we don’t.

Supplement Field Guide helps readers make sense of supplement information with plain language, careful sourcing, and visible evidence limits.

How guides are prepared

We prioritize public health agencies, government fact sheets, and primary research when describing nutrient roles, potential benefits, and safety. We avoid treating a study of one product or group as proof for every supplement or person.

Health claims need context

A nutrient’s normal role in the body does not establish that a supplement prevents or treats disease. Where evidence is mixed, limited, or specific to a population, the guide says so. We include safety questions and medication considerations alongside potential benefits.

What this site is

This is a general educational resource for US readers. It is not a medical service, and the editorial team does not diagnose, prescribe, or recommend an individual dose. Always consider the full product label and ask an appropriately qualified professional about your situation.

Corrections and updates

Each guide shows its last review date and links to source material so readers can verify the underlying information. Content should be revisited as authoritative guidance changes.
